Meet the founder

Arnau Salvadó is the founder and design director of Atelier Cala. With a background forged in high-end yacht design and combined expertise, his vision is clear: to shape interiors that not only captivate the eye but support life with precision, intention, and grace.

During his time at the acclaimed Dutch studio Wetzels Brown, Arnau worked in few bespoke super yachts projects, crafted in collaboration with shipyards such as Royal Huisman, Damen and Mengi Yay. These formative years sharpened his understanding of technical excellence, spatial logic, and the rhythm of life at sea.

His design philosophy is rooted in the belief that functionality is the foundation of elegance. Every space must respond intuitively to the needs of those who inhabit it, offering clarity, comfort and flexibility, without compromising on emotion or beauty. His work blends the sensitivity of an interior designer with the discipline of a craftsman, always seeking the balance between structure and soul.

Upon returning to Barcelona, Atelier Cala is founded to create interiors where refinement meets relevance; spaces designed to feel as effortless as they are enduring.
